Who here just likes to study baby names?

I am planning on more children, probably next year, so my time spent on baby names on y/a is for that too, but mainly I just like to study baby names. Anyone else here like me?Who here just likes to study baby names?
Oooh, me!

I've been obsessed with names as long as I can remember. I can actually recall a time when I was about four sitting in my room and thinking about how my name really seemed to fit me and that it'd be weird if I were an Emily or Lisa. :)

I have no children (I'm seventeen) and won't for quite a while. But I've been compiling a list for about three-ish years now, and it's changed drastically over time. Originally, I tended to like "popular" and "creative" names like Carson, Aiden, Kayla, and Hailey. But now my top favorites are Gabriel, Adam, Hannah, and Leah. Still popular, but much more classic/traditional. Names on my list are pretty much all biblical (a few exceptions) and traditional. No Abednego for me, thanks.

I practically live on baby name websites. I'll put my favorites in the source.
I do, and always have! Even though I don't always like what other people name their children, I usually like the way that they chose the names...like all flower names for girls, 2 middle names, dealing with a difficult last name etc.

All 4 of my children have 2 middle names (the 3rd name is always 1 syllable) . I like long %26amp; traditional without being confused if it's a boys or girls name. But one of my friends who has 5 children (4 girls %26amp; 1 boy), is very "western" and her husband works for John Deere. Plus they have a really long hard to spell last name. And even though I don't like her names, they work great for them and I really appreciate the thought they put into them with all of their circumstances...her girls:

Reiny (rain-e)Lynn

Colby Ann

Bailey Grace

Talley Kate

boy: Kord McCoy

The girls are all from the same "iffy" category, but all end in y, so that helps with thinking they are girls. She said they gave the girls 2 syllables because they would eventually get married and get a new last name. The boy, will be stuck with a very long %26amp; difficult last name, so a 1 syllable it had to be!Who here just likes to study baby names?
Im not pregnant and we're not even trying to conceive right now, but we plan to try within the next year or so. But for the past 3 years (before we were even married) I've been studying baby names =) I just like to plan for our future. %26amp; I want to be absolutely sure of the name. 2 years ago, I had a different name in mind for a girl, and now I'm considering another. Thats why I like to think of it ahead of time. I dont want to have a baby and then think "I should have named him/her this instead" So my husband and I discuss names all the time. But I dont discuss them with my family members because they'd think we were trying to conceive. So I come on here instead.. gives me more than just my husband's opinion. =) And I figure if I like one name for a long time, then thats the one... rather than waiting until I'm pregnant and then coming up with a name, keep changing it and still be unsure after 9 months. I love picking names and imagining our future boy or girl.

For a girl we like Carly Isabella or Briella Grace and for a boy we are sure of Brody.. pretty sure of Brody Landon. =)Who here just likes to study baby names?
