Why do people make a big deal with teens liking baby names?

im 14 and i use yahoo answers to look at baby names because i find it really cool. but people are always complaining that teens are always on here and i dont get why? ive never done anything but ask opinions on names. its not like im tracking down people so i can murder them or something.Why do people make a big deal with teens liking baby names?
It's not the teens, but the names they are proposing. Also, the majority does NOT preface their question with "Hi, I'm 14 and I'm really into names. What do you think about these?"



A lot claim to be pregnant (often with ***tuplets!), claim a friend/sister/whatever is pregnant or to have 3 kids and ask if this would be a nice sibling name for them. The thought of an actual innocent child being named Paesycin Emmaleigha Lampshade just makes you want to save it from their mother.

No wonder people get mad, when they look at their old questions or other answers and find out these kids are lying. It's ridiculous.



Just say "I like names and won't be having a kid anytime soon."
I've got no problem with teens asking questions about baby names, but what irritates me is that they are rarely honest about it. A typical question from 14 year old in the baby names section goes like this:



"OK so I have just found out I am pregnant with quads!!! They are all girls. What names would go with the names of my other kids? My other kids are:



Raven Destiny - girl, 5

Kayden Bentley - boy, 4

Pryncesse McKynzii and Hunter Hero (girl and boy twins, 3)

Aubree-Jaii Savannah (girl, 3 - she is my little sister who I adopted at the age of 17 when our parents were killed in a car crash)"



If they just said, "I'm not pregnant or anything but I was just thinking the other day about names. What do you think of the names [insert names here]" I'd have no problem with it.Why do people make a big deal with teens liking baby names?
Given the whole teen parenting craze, which prior to contrary belief has been on going for ages... people think that teens are going out and plotting up to have a child and what theyre going to name it and also comparing it to the fads in the media and suspecting the teen wants a child to:



* feel grown up



* get attention



* "trap" a guy or girl, which seldom works...



* follow a trend



* rebel



when in reality youre probably looking out of sheer curiosity, either way one will naturally expect you are looking because you are planning on becoming or are currently impregnated.



Then again this is solely an opinion...Why do people make a big deal with teens liking baby names?
Because teens' ideas of baby names are generally laughably bad and only really suitable for pets or dolls.



I say that as someone who used to be a teen. I'd rather eat ground glass than name an actual person any of the names I thought were cool at your age...or any of the names the 14 year olds who post on here think are cool now.
Some people think it's stupid that people like to think about names just because they're not pregnant.They have the image that anyone who thinks about names should be pregnant and they hate all people who aren't [which is about 3/4 of the Y!A community]Just move on and don't deal with the [few] haters there might be.

I'm fourteen as well, and I always like searching on Yahoo! Answers for names that I could possibly use for a novel that I'm writing. And I also ask for opinions of names that I like.

I don't see why it's 'against' anything when teenagers spend their time on here. It's ridiculous!

Some (most) people are just irrational and ignorant. They think you're thinking about getting pregnant. Worst part is even if you are its none of their buisness. Do NOT let people like that bring you down or even slow you down in life. They are everywhere and in every craves. Do you and let them worry about the consequences. There will always be a few people like me to stick up for ya.
